THE COMPANY AND ROLE
​
Our client is a renowned Swiss company in the field of Data as a Service, employing over 400 people worldwide and operating offices across several continents. As part of a revised commercial strategy, the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) position has been newly created. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CRO will unify all revenue-generating functions, drive the go-to-market strategy, expand into new markets, and strengthen relationships with leading financial institutions and global enterprises. This Executive Board role is pivotal to the company’s next phase of growth and will lead a team of 30 professionals.

TASKS & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own and execute the global revenue strategy across regions, driving growth through new client acquisition and account expansion; strengthen relationships with top-tier financial services companies and strategic partners to ensure long-term client satisfaction, value realisation, and retention.

Lead and scale high-performing global revenue teams across Sales, Key Account Management, Partnerships, and Executive Outreach, fostering a motivational culture of accountability, collaboration, and personal growth through strategic recruitment, mentoring, and talent development, supported by clear goals and performance targets.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Technology, and Marketing leadership to align commercial priorities with product development, go-to-market execution, and delivery, integrating market insights and client feedback into the development process.

Establish clear performance metrics and KPIs, ensuring transparent reporting to the Executive Team and Board, while optimizing forecasting and operational efficiency.

Leverage analytics to make data-driven decisions on pricing, client segmentation and sales effectiveness, identifying new market opportunities and driving the company’s ambitious commercial targets.

Represent the company externally with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders, articulating the commercial vision and growth trajectory in close collaboration with the Chief Marketing Officer.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

Proven track record in scaling global B2B revenue organizations, ideally within SaaS, DaaS, FinTech, or other technology-driven industries.

Deep understanding of enterprise sales cycles, client success management, and partnership ecosystem development. Experience in monetizing subscription- or licensing-based business models is a plus.

Client-centric leader focused not only on winning new clients but also on building long-term partnerships and ecosystems.

Demonstrated success in leading and scaling global commercial teams as a client-centric leader, driving growth in high-velocity organizations through effective coaching and team development. Skilled in inspiring and empowering teams to consistently exceed ambitious revenue goals.

Executive presence and strong communication skills across all levels and stakeholders, both internal and external, and across diverse regions and cultures.

Strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills, able to translate vision into measurable commercial outcomes.

A strong network within financial services and/or data-intensive industries such as supply chain, manufacturing, or logistics is a plus. Alternatively, the ability to quickly understand the needs of these industries is highly valued.

Business-fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
